James Joyce's Ulysses is often hailed as one of the most innovative novels in the English language. This livestream talk by ardent fan Steve Cole from Baltimore, Maryland, USA introduces the massive work through the activities and view of its many international fans. The talk also spotlights the censorship battles surrounding the book in the United States and the key role played by its Baltimore-born publisher, bookstore owner Sylvia Beach.

Steve spearheaded the Bloomsday 2011 Twitter rendition of the novel and edited The Works of Master Poldy, a limited edition artist's book published by The Salvage Press, Dublin, in 2013.

The one-hour conversation will be broadcast live at 11:00AM ET by the Baltimore city library system - the Enoch Pratt Free Library - on its Facebook and YouTube pages. Viewers can post comments and questions for the Q&A session. A recording of the broadcast will be available on Facebook Live and YouTube.
