Did you know that the iconic Irish writer James Joyce was a loving Grandad with a devilish sense of humour?

Join illustrator Alan Nolan as he tells you all about Joyce’s children’s story The Cat and The Devil and shows you how to draw a fiendish feline… and then get the chance to design your own crazy monster in the James Joyce Ulysses Monster Draw-Along!

Alan Nolan is the author and illustrator of Fintan's Fifteen, Conor's Caveman and the Sam Hannigan series for the O’Brien Press, and is the illustrator of the popular Gordon's Game books written by Gordon D'Arcy and Paul Howard. Alan's latest books, Sam Hannigan and the Last Dodo, and Animal Crackers (with Sarah Webb) are both out now.

A new edition of The Cat and the Devil, illustrated by Brazilian artist Lelis was published by Little Island Books in 2021.
